Having had a long family history on Deer Lake in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, Ginny’s clients asked her to create a lake retreat uniquely designed to be both practical and luxurious, where extended family could spread out and enjoy the pleasures of lakeside living.

From her first steps on the property, Ginny was taken by myriad tall, old growth trees towering high in the sky. She decided that her design for this retreat would mirror its surroundings.  She found a source in Montana for 24-inch diameter standing dead Spruce trees that she incorporated as a prominent design feature. By placing the Spruce logs vertically, the massive tree trunks leave the viewer feeling as if they were endemic to the property.

The interior is filled with refined yet rustic detailing, expansive lake views from every room, and warm finishes that soothe the soul and facilitate complete rest and relaxation.
