On a small lake in Frederic, Wisconsin, Ginny renovated a 50’s rambler, finding inspiration in mid-century modern architecture.

This weekend home sits on a peninsula overlooking Pine Lake with lake views from three sides of the house.  The exterior siding was replaced with corrugated metal and vertical wood siding and trim.  The home’s large round windows frame spectacular views of the lake.

After completely gutting the interior, the once choppy floor plan was reconfigured to maximize open, free flowing spaces for family living.  By using expansive windows and stone finishes as primary design features, the home-away-from-home becomes a natural gateway to the outdoors.
